Non-Executive Director Mr. Levy was appointed on 12 February 2003 and subsequently appointed Non-Executive Chairman on 2 July 2007. Mr Levy has been involved in mineral exploration for 28 years and is a specialist Executive Manager. He brings considerable skills to the D’Aguilar board in managing the transition of projects from discovery through to production. Mr Levy has been the Federal President of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and was a member of the Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) for 10 years. His experience in gold exploration at Vatukuola in Fiji and nickel exploration in Australia is invaluable to D’Aguilar. He has been instrumental in the emergence of the Avebury Nickel project in Tasmania as CEO of Allegiance Mining Ltd and was instrumental in the exploration and development of the Kambalda Nickel Project for Western Mining Corporation. On 1 June 2007, D'Aguilar and AusNiCo announced that Mr Levy has been appointed, effective 11 July 2007, to the position of Chief Executive of AusNiCo. To read more about this announcement
